We are always looking for individuals with "the right stuff" to work as agents across our entire branch network
An Agent employed by Mutual is a Salesperson/Collector employed on a full time basis.
They service a round of approximately 200 customers on whom they call weekly to collect in cash/cheque repayments on their existing credit with us. Calling on the customers is typically late afternoon and early evening work.
Agents are responsible for recording payments both on the customer’s record (called a payment card) and the agent’s own record (called a round book) and each week these payments must be input to the company database.
Agents are trained to look for sales opportunities to develop their round, be it by selling a new plasma screen TV or issuing a loan for a customer to go away on holiday with. Our agents are also trained in credit making decisions involved in the lending process, are responsible for arrears management and ensuring that as many customers remain credit worthy as possible. Successful agents are highly motivated, self disciplined and very personable. When not out collecting the balance of the agent’s time is spent on business development, holding parties, canvassing, dropping leaflets and generating and following up new business leads. Agents build their rounds and increase their earnings.
